President & Governance

In 1965, Sir Isaiah Berlin was invited to be the College's first President by the University of Oxford and the College's democratic structure, egalitarian ethos and general friendliness owe much to his inspiration and leadership.

The Governing Body, of which the President is the chair, has responsibility for the direction and management of the affairs of the College.
